According to the official Weibo news of the National Seismological Network, the China Earthquake Network officially determined that a magnitude 7.3 earthquake occurred in Haiti (18.35 degrees north latitude, 73.45 degrees west longitude) at 20:29 on August 14 with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.
In the area affected by the earthquake, the ground cracked and buildings were severely damaged.
