The global economy may face new acute problems amid the coronavirus pandemic, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with members of the RUIE board.

He stressed that the processes of economic recovery are extremely unstable.

“Moreover, it may face new acute problems,” the Kremlin press service quotes the head of state.

Earlier, Putin noted that Russia is going through a difficult period for the economy and social sphere much softer than many other countries.

The World Bank predicts that the global economy will take five years to fully recover from the crisis.
