"I shot everything I wanted": 95th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Todorovsky

August 26 marks the 95th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Todorovsky, People's Artist of the RSFSR. He decided to connect his life with cinema during the Great Patriotic War, when he watched the work of cameramen. Todorovsky tried himself as an actor and screenwriter, as a director made 17 films. Among them are "City Romance", "Along the main street with an orchestra", "Intergirl" and "Anchor, more anchor!" His film "A Wartime Romance" was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Many of Todorovsky's paintings contain songs and melodies written by him. The director passed away on May 24, 2013 at the age of 87.
