Russian boxing champion Kushitashvili arrested for two months

The Moscow Military Court decided to arrest by April 1, Russian boxing champion Georgy Kushitashvili for assaulting an employee of the Russian Guard and possession of drugs.


Kushitashvili and another boxer, Hovik Hovhannisyan, were detained in Moscow. Reportedly, during the arrest, a two-time Russian champion hit one of the employees of the Russian Guard. Subsequently, during the search, he discovered a narcotic substance.

Earlier it was reported that the UK demanded that the boxer Kushitashvili be taken into custody.
