A former social security secretary in Dalarna is charged with malpractice after an incident in November 2017, when a five-year-old child was picked up from his preschool and taken to the Falun police house for an interrogation. Some time into the hearing, it was discovered that the wrong child had been picked up.

The child was interrogated for just over a quarter before the interrogator realized that the wrong child had been retrieved. The Social Security Secretary admits the facts of the case, but refuses the crime.

The background was suspicion that the father was violent towards the family. The child who was incorrectly retrieved had the same first name as the child concerned in the investigation, but went to another preschool.

The social secretary has said in an interview that she does not want to blame, but that she should have been cradled in the belief that it was the right child that was brought to the police by a colleague.

The child was taken straight back to preschool after the mistake was discovered. The accused person must have had to leave his previous position because of the incident. The incident has also been reported according to Lex Sarah.

The investigation shows that the child did not measure noticeably badly after what happened.
