Turkey is ready to contribute to the de-escalation of the conflict between India and Pakistan

Turkey is ready to make efforts to reduce tensions between India and Pakistan. This statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.


“The growth of tension and the escalation of the conflict will not benefit anyone. Turkey is ready to contribute to reducing tensions, ”Hürriyet Daily News, the Turkish leader, said.

Erdogan also welcomed the decision of Pakistan to transfer the detained Indian pilot to India.

On February 27, the Pakistani army reported that two planes of the Indian Air Force were shot down in Pakistani airspace. The Pakistan Foreign Ministry explained the air strike as a demonstration of readiness for self-defense.

Andrei Chuprygin, a senior lecturer at the HSE School of Oriental Studies, commented on the situation with the Indian Air Force planes shot down by Pakistan in an interview with NSN.
