Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said in his New Year’s address that 2019 will be the year of the country's revival and Greece will never return “on dark days of memorandums with creditors and a policy of tightening belts.

This is reported by CNN Greece.

“And this is logical, because this is the first year after eight years, when our country came out of the suffocating ring of memorandums. This is the first New Year’s Day when we can say that the struggle and the sacrifices of the Greek people were not in vain, ”the premier said.

In August, the EC noted the complexity of the economic situation in Greece.

In July, the Commissioner for Economics and Finance, Pierre Moscovisi, during a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, ruled out the possibility of implementing the fourth program of macroeconomic assistance to Greece.
