The State Duma Committee on Education and Science expressed condolences in connection with the death of Alferov

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, Boris Chernyshov, in a conversation with RT, shared his memories of the Russian physics scientist, Nobel laureate Jorese Alferov, who died at the age of 89 in St. Petersburg.


“This is an irreplaceable loss, as for the scientific community of Russia, the entire State Duma and the committee itself. For a while he was not in meetings. He was an incredibly responsive person, with whom it was always very interesting to communicate. He never stayed away from human problems. Both professors and ordinary citizens could come to him, he was always happy for everyone, ”said Chernyshov.

Nobel laureate Zhores Alferov died on March 2 at the 89th year of his life in St. Petersburg.
