The head of the Ukrainian Analytical Center economist Oleksandr Okhrimenko commented on RT to the statement by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko that the markets of the European Union would not be closed to Ukrainian goods.

“Yes, the markets of Europe are not closed for Ukraine. Another question is what Kiev can offer. Today, Europe is buying corn, sunflower oil and iron ore from Ukraine. Sometimes more wires and bearings. But, let's say, nobody will buy the same Ukrainian engineering products. So, really, export can be increased. Due to corn, ”said the expert.

According to Okhrimenko, “no one inserts sticks into the wheels of Ukraine in Europe, but is not going to buy anything more serious than bearings.”

Earlier, Poroshenko said that the EU markets will not be closed to Ukrainian goods and no one in Europe will put forward any political conditions.
