Saudi Arabia intends to invest in the petrochemical industry in Russia

Saudi Arabia announced its intention to invest in petrochemical production in Russia. About this in an interview with television channel Al Ekhbariya, said the Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Khalid al-Falih.


“We discussed with the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund expanding the base of investment projects and making very large investments not only in the gas industry, but also in the petrochemical industry in Russia in the future, where there is ground for a promising future,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

According to him, Riyadh plans to send billions of dollars to the Russian economy, and in response, the Russian side will make investments in the Saudi economy.

In November, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and al-Falih held a meeting on the margins of the G20 summit in Argentina.
