Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko does not consider the prohibition of the Russian social networks Odnoklassniki and Vkontakte in the country as a violation of freedom of speech. He stated this on the channel “Direct”.

According to Poroshenko, for political motives "in these five years, no one was hurt."

“I am proud that, despite all the rumors, the media had the opportunity to work freely, the Ukrainian media. I do not consider the restriction of the freedom of speech to the prohibition of “Classmates” and “VKontakte,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

In September 2018, it was reported that Russian websites banned in Ukraine were among the ten most popular resources that Ukrainians visit.
