President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the dismissal of Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Semotchko. About this head of state wrote in Twitter.


"On Friday, the first deputy head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, General Sergei Semotchko, was relieved of his post," Poroshenko said.

In October 2018, the SBU launched an investigation into Semotchko.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine opened a criminal case against Semotchka under the article on bribery.

A journalistic investigation alleges that the official’s family owns houses near Kiev, totaling $ 8 million.
