Picture Kuindzhi "Ai-Petri. Crimea "transferred to the Russian Museum

Previously stolen from the Tretyakov Gallery picture of Arkhip Kuindzhi "Ai-Petri. Crimea ”was transferred to the State Russian Museum, said the head of the department of museums of the Ministry of Culture Vladislav Kononov.


"The transfer ceremony was held at the Museum of History of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, the head of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, Sergei Kuzmin," reported RIA Novosti quotes Kononov.

According to him, the event was attended by the director of the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum.

The picture leaves for restoration to St. Petersburg, he said.

Earlier, the Tagansky court placed in custody the alleged thief of the painting Denis Chuprikov.
