It is noted that for the protection of the border with Russia within the Sumy, Kharkiv and Lugansk regions attracted special units of the frontier service.
"The servicemen will perform tasks to strengthen the protection of sections of the state border in threatening areas and to maintain the rules of the border regime," the statement said.
It became known earlier that since the beginning of 2019 more than 500 Russians had not been allowed into Ukraine.
