Deutsche Welle, a German television and radio company, announced that the Spanish-language television channel was disconnected from the cable network in Venezuela. DW CEO Peter Limburg urged Caracas to resume the signal.

“We will do everything possible so that our viewers continue to receive information,” said the director of the TV channel.

According to him, the channel's signal in Spanish was excluded from the cable network by the telecommunications authority of Venezuela Conatel.

In February 2017, Venezuela banned the broadcasting of CNN on the territory of the country. Then the authorities accused the channel of transmitting "inaccurate" information and "distorting the truth."
