Central Bank of Sudan froze accounts of all dissolved authorities

The Central Bank of Sudan froze the accounts of all authorities dissolved by the military council, including parliament. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the statement of the financial institution.


“Based on the decision of the Military Council, we decided to freeze all the accounts of government bodies dissolved by the council (parliament, presidential office, state governments, etc.),” the Central Bank noted.

On April 11, the Sudanese army announced the removal of President Omar al-Bashir from ruling the country. Later, the head of the Ministry of Defense, Awad bin Auf, announced the detention of al-Bashir.
