"The memory of those who did not return from the war": a parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad took place on Palace Square

A parade of memory was held in the Palace Square of St. Petersburg in honor of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade. About 2.5 thousand soldiers and about 80 pieces of equipment took part in the ceremonial march. “We bow our heads before the holy memory of those who did not return from the war, died of wounds and diseases,” said the commander of the Western Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Zhuravlev, announcing a minute of silence before the parade.
