  Wang Yi said that the relationship between China and the Pacific island countries has shown a good momentum of development, and the comprehensive strategic partnership has continued to deepen.

  Wang Yi said, we respect each other and treat each other as equals.

China always respects island countries’ development paths that suit their own national conditions, sincerely helps island countries develop their economies and improve people’s livelihoods, and firmly supports island countries’ equal participation in international and regional affairs.

  We are in the same boat and face challenges together.

Both sides always help each other as soon as possible.

China will not forget the solidarity and support of various island countries for China's fight against the epidemic, and will do everything it can to help the island countries fight the epidemic, donate anti-epidemic materials and vaccines, and establish and inject capital into the "China-Pacific Island Countries Anti-epidemic Cooperation Fund".

  We are mutually beneficial, win-win, and develop together.

China has signed cooperation documents for the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” with all 10 island countries with diplomatic relations, successfully held three China-Pacific Island Countries Economic Development Cooperation Forums, and jointly promoted a large number of cooperation projects and promoted local development.

  We know each other and learn from each other.

China has opened 5 Confucius Institutes or Confucius Classrooms in the island countries, and has dispatched more than 300 Chinese teachers and volunteers to the island countries.

Thousands of young people from island countries have received Chinese government scholarships to study in China.
